What is BetterTelnet?

BetterTelnet is a communications tool used at academic institutions and businesses world-wide. It provides simplicity and reliable access via the telnet protocol to communicate with remote hosts. BetterTelnet also provides enhanced capabilities such as support for ssh (secure shell), scripting, screen captures, upload/download of files, custom keyboard mapping, and personalized data directories.

BetterTelnet for the Macintosh OS is a significantly enhanced version of NCSA Telnet 2.7b5. It is just as flexible to configure, but offers more features, provides bug fixes for stability and many new options.
